something I wrote late at night sometime last week:


It's 3:15 in the morning and I want to write something deep and inspiring, something lyrical and fresh... it will be an attempt


time will stretch our skin
line our faces
beat our hearts
ach our bones
work our muscles weak

we'll toil old
wish to go back
"be young, be young"
can't hear you

all writers write about it
all songwriters sing about it
just melody
sounds sweet

we'll continue
few will hear the advice
everyone experienced
the rest will soon see it
they'll scream "be young, be young"
we'll hear "play it safe, play it right"


I don't know.. I feel pretty self-consciouses about my writing sometimes
